Supporting HB 92 Requirements

In 2023, the Idaho legislature adopted HB 92 which added section 33-1614 to the Idaho code. This established provisions requiring courses in financial literacy for high school students. The content of many of the topics included on this site directly addresses required areas within this section.

Section 33-1614: Section Requirement Description

33-1614(2) (a): Recognize the influence of money on human behavior

33-1614(2) (e): Understand the essentials of financing a college education

33-1614(2) (g): Recognize the purpose of the tax system and how it relates to each citizen and the citizen's income

33-1614(2) (i): Recognize and utilize modern consumer skills, tools, and practices

Personal Finance:

Programs like “Reality Town” and lessons on budgets and compounding interest help students manage their finances. Additional support is available in these areas. Reach out to discuss what makes sense.

Dave has completed background check and fingerprinting conducted by the Gooding County Sheriff's Office as part of volunteer work with the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind (ISDB).
